IDB scholar Md. Morsaline Billah at Bangladesh’s Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Discipline of Khulna University has developed novel and promising device that have the potential for detection of arsenic in drinking water. However, further experiments are needed to establish the utility of cheap, reliable and rapid detection of arsenic in water. In addition, reusability of the column is a big concern, which needs to be resolved.
